Sherita R Evans
Sherita R. Evans, founder of Hip Hop For The People, is a distinguished freelance writer for the Bay Area Gazette Newspaper and boasts a rich background in media and broadcasting. She honed her skills at KMEL 106.1 FM, where she served as an intern and assistant to the producer of a globally acclaimed Gospel Show. Sherita's flair for communication and community engagement shone through as she hosted numerous gospel concerts, effectively promoting and rallying public support for these events. Under the mentorship of Mike Shumann at KGO/ABC, she further refined her expertise. Today, she's a recognized on-air personality at KPOO 89.5/KPOO.COM, continuing to leave her mark in the broadcasting world.

Khafre Jay
As the founder of Hip Hop For The People and Hip Hop For The Future SPC, he is dedicated to using Hip Hop for education and community empowerment. With over a decade in nonprofit leadership, he has created jobs for over 1,000 people, educated 35,000 youths, and raised $7 million for grassroots initiatives. Khafre serves several boards, and hosts at KPOO 89.5FM. His impactful work, recognized with awards like the 2020 William J. Zellerbach Award for Social Change, spans speaking engagements at prestigious institutions and collaborations with global Hip Hop artists.
